Our Executive Director is Hank Rogers, who has a long and distinguished history in fantasy drum corps, as well as fantasy guard.

He came to the Garfield Cadets in 1997 as an advisor to the former director and as color guard instructor. He became Executive Director in the fall of 2001.

He has been the director of several virtual fantasy drum & bugle corps in addition to the Garfield Cadets: The Spirit of Dallas from Dallas, TX, Division 1 FDCI 12 bronze medalist & FDCI, FDCA & VCL finalist of several seasons and The Star of Atlanta from Atlanta, TX, a short lived DIII corps. With these three corps he was chairman of MTCA, Inc. (My Texas Corps Alliance, Inc.) which was funded by Ewing Oil Co. until 2003 when the corporation pulled it's funding. The Garfield Cadets was the only corps to survive the fold of the organization.

He was the Chairman of the Board and webmaster for Fantasy Drum Corps Southwest (FDCSW), the Southwestern Regional division of FDCI, a position he held for 9 seasons.

While Executive Director & Color Guard Caption Head for The Spirit of Dallas, the guard won Top Color Guard at the VCL 12 World Championships and at the FDCA 4 World Championships.

As Color Guard Caption Head, his corps have won the color guard caption more than any other captions combined.

His experience with virtual fantasy winter guard is extensive as well, being the Executive Director of the legendary SDVE (Spirit of Dallas Visual Ensemble), a unit that competed in all but one of the Simulated Winter Guard Circuit (SWGC or SimGuard) World Championships, and was one of the longest running virtual fantasy winter guards ever. SDVE gained legendary status in SimGuard with it's innovative show design, technical skills, grace & beauty. SDVE won a silver & a bronze medal during SimGuard's run, and failed to make Finals at the World Championships only once, in SDVE's first season.

After the demise of SimGuard Hank formed his own fantasy league, Fantasy Winter Guard Internet (FWGI).

As Executive Director for the Garfield Cadets Virtual Fantasy Drum & Bugle Corps and Winter Guard he has continued the tradition of excellence and innovation.
